This game has been opened and resealed by us to check the components inside given the hole in the side of the box. Happy to report that all the pieces are not only undamaged but delightfully beautiful with little painted ships which made us go 'awww'! Additionally there is a dinked corner, you won't be looking at the box when it's on your table though anyway.
