Travel Games! Part I

Summer holidays!

The time of the year when the luckiest of us migrate to exotic, pleasant, relaxing (or boisterous?) places is drawing near.
Whether you are planning to bask in the sun on a beach, trek for miles in the wilderness, or explore cityscapes and museums, we've got the right game for you!

A board game suited for the job, able to withstand the harshness of the elements, lightweight, and able to be deployed anywhere without warning, and sometimes even without a table.

In this series of posts, you will find a list of games that we think will be the perfect addition to your travelling games collection.

We searched for games that meet specific criteria, and tried to focus not just on card games, since by their own nature they tend to be good options to pick when travelling.
In order to be on the list, a game must possess one or more of the following attributes:

  • It has a travel-resistant box, for instance a tin box;
  • It has a small box, easy to transport;
  • It's the smaller or travel version of a game;
  • Its components are waterproof;
  • It's compact and doesn't take much table space;
  • It can be played everywhere.

Each post will include a mix of games that meet different criteria.

How many games will you recognise, and how many will be pleasant surprises?
If there is a game that you think we've missed and should be added to the list, let us know!
