Hot Streak: Mascots on Mayhem Mode
Hot Streak: Mascots on Mayhem Mode
Today we're diving into Hot Streak, a hilariously unpredictable race where four mascots sprint, swerve, stumble, and spectacularly face‑plant their way toward the finish line… all while players frantically bet on who they hope won't humiliate them. It's fast, it's silly, and it's the perfect game for people who love a bit of chaos with their cardboard.
At the start of the first of the three races, players get some open information about how the mascots should perform. The keyword here is "should" - because every player also has a hand of cards that will tilt things dramatically in their favour… or against everyone else entirely. Before the race kicks off, players place their bets: who do you think will win? Every time you take a bet tile, you can flip it to its riskier side. If your chosen mascot takes first place, you're rolling in riches. If they place anywhere else? Well… hope you weren't too attached to your virtual money.
Once the bets are locked in, each player secretly adds one card from their hand to the race card pile. These are the actions that will power the race forward (or sideways, or backwards, or straight into another mascot's kneecaps). Then it's 3… 2… 1… RACE! The deck flips one card at a time, sending mascots:
Once the dust settles and the race ends, bets pay out - or flop spectacularly - and a new round begins. After three full races, everyone totals their winnings and reads the rulebook's delightfully cheeky guide to how you're supposed to spend your prize money.
Hot Streak is short, sharp, unpredictable fun - with just enough strategy to feel clever, and just enough chaos to blame your losses on fate rather than poor decisions.
