About The Game
A sleepy village. A sealed crypt. A retired vicar who never left.
Laurence Goddard spent decades preserving Combleton's crumbling church and the crypt beneath it - until he was found murdered on the very stones he vowed to protect. With no close family and plenty of people invested in the crypt's fate, everyone around him has something to hide. Follow the threads of faith, history, and ambition through Birchshire's tight-knit community. To solve this cold case, you'll need to separate local legends from lethal lies.
Crack open the evidence envelope to uncover an immersive case file: police reports, witness statements, newsletters, invitations, flyers, social memes, text conversations, and photographs that put you in the investigators' shoes. Every page expands your view of Combleton's secrets.
The investigation extends online. Access the Birchshire Police inbox, bank records, voicemail drops, and a phone data request to chase leads beyond the printed documents. You'll need a laptop or tablet to follow the digital trail alongside the physical clues.
Tackle a 2–3 hour experience designed for solo sleuths, couples, or game night groups. Use the suspect log to test every alibi, weigh motive against opportunity, and expose who silenced Laurence Goddard in the dark. Need guidance along the way? Unlock spoiler-controlled hints online, and use the Murder Mission app to scan fingerprints, text suspects, and dig deeper into the case. The answers are there - you just have to prove it.
