1 on 1 Adventures #10: Vengeance of Olindor is 20 adventure-packed pages, complete with locations and maps, forming a ready-made adventure. It has been crafted for one GM and one player (Level 8-10 Rogue). With some minor scaling, Vengeance of Olindor is suitable for use with four 6th level player characters.

Thail Donnodol has committed no crime, yet he finds himself in Granite's End, an island prison run by a harsh warden and ripe with factions and conflict. Thail's son, asks the PC to venture into Granite's End and discover what led this elven historian to such perilous locales—the fabled relic referred only as the Vengeance of Olindor. Vengeance of Olindor can be played as a stand alone adventure or as the final installment in an adventure path centered on the relics of Olindor with Star of Olindor and Shroud of Olindor.

It was sort of like "Pearl Harbor" all over again, but worse. Twice as many allied deaths, 400 ships lost, while the authorities resisted both the proven convoy system and the common-sense approach of simply turning the lights out on coastal cities.

It could have been much worse. While Stalin knew about Pearl Harbor in advance, Hitler did not. The Kriegsmarine started Operation Drumroll with just FIVE submarines and were navigating with US tourist guide books. But, with cities alight, US destroyers sitting in port, and merchant ships sailing with navigation lights burning, the Germans called it, "The Second Happy Time."

Some say the publicity campaign, "Loose lips sink ships" was not really about keeping information from German agents (which were almost non-existent) but to keep people from talking about the Allied disaster happening within sight of America's shores. It got so bad the British sent ships and planes to help America defend the East Coast!

Paukenschlag ("Operation Drumroll") covers Germany's attack on America, from January to June 1942, using the historical U-boat capabilities and optionally, adding the German long-range bombers which could have taken part. The game board is based on the sea maps the U-Boat commanders actually used themselves, covering the East Coast, Gulf, and Caribbean. Key elements like radar, "Huffduff," German "Milkcows," and a carrier task force are included.

Movement is simple. Decisions are complex. The next move is yours.

The Battle of Monmouth. Volume VI in the acclaimed Battles from the Age of Reason series, this is the second game to explore the battlefields of the American Revolution.

"The Battle of Monmouth" explores the fateful events of June 28, 1778 when the Continental Army led by George Washington attacked Sir Henry Clinton's British and Hessian column as it withdrew from Philadelphia and retreated across New Jersey to New York...an event that signalled the tide had turned in the war.

Four scenarios explore this dramatic situation:

One of the most popular, and successful, Avalon Hill games of the late 1980's was Blackbeard, a pirate game totally different from any others available because it simulated the actual life and careers of historical pirates, and how they went about their chosen professions.

Richard Berg has now taken the original and redesigned it, almost entirely, to bring it into line with what gamers like to see and play these days. All those pirates you loved - Black Bart Roberts, Long Ben Avery, Ned Lowe, L'Ollonais, and, of course, Edward Teach (Blackbeard) - 23 in all, are still there, as are the King's Commissioners sent out to stop them. However, the entire play system has been overhauled, and the result is a game that highlights and specializes in player interaction, with almost no down time for any players.

Players represent individual pirates, using them to gain Victory Points by amassing booty and, even more importantly, earning Notoriety for their dastardly deeds. Seizing merchants with cargo ranging from useless paper to the monumental treasure of the Mughal emperors, attacking and sacking ports, fighting storms and scurvy, seeking safe haven in infamous pirate ports such as Tortuga and Madagascar, and, hopefully, using Letters of Marque to retire successfully.

And while the player is doing this, all of the other players, at the same time, are playing their cards and seizing opportunities to stop the pirates. There is a constant interplay among players, and you never know what is going to happen when you set out to do something.

We've simplified movement (no more hexes) and ship battles, w'eve expanded the use of Royal Navy warships, we've even added individual hostages! (Yes, there is a "Governor's Daughter".)

In the period immediately following the American Civil War, a group of Irish-Americans known as the Fenians conceived of a bold plan that they hoped would result in freedom for Ireland. A volunteer army, comprised mainly of hardened Civil War veterans, was established for the purpose of an invasion of Canada. The Fenians reasoned that territory seized from British controlled Canada could be bartered for Irish independence. Army of Ireland is a tactical level recreation of the historically significant Battle of Ridgeway, where encroaching Fenians clashed with spirited Canadian militia in what is now Ontario. Colorful counters, a detailed hexmap, and other components provide everything needed to refight this conflict which was to have a profound influence on Canadian history.

The town of Winterhaven stands watch over a ruined keep that was once a bastion of good in the realm. This keep overlooks the Shadow Rift, a dark scar in the world that was once a gateway to the Shadowfell but has been dormant for many years. Now, an evil cleric of Orcus, Demon Lord of the Undead, seeks to re-open the gate, and the only thing standing in his way is a small yet determined band of heroes.

Keep on the Shadowfell is an exciting Dungeons & Dragons adventure designed for characters of levels 1–3. It includes three double-sided poster maps suitable for use with D&D Miniatures.

Play a game of Guillotine and heads are going to roll! Players become executioners vying for prestige during the turmoil of the French Revolution. Why send an "Innocent Victim" to the Guillotine when you can "Let Them Eat Cake" as you send Marie Antoinette to the front of the line. Each game is divided into three days of mob justice. During each day, twelve "enemies" of the Revolution are lined up for their turn at the Guillotine. The executioners (the players) take turns moving the next victim through the line while playing action cards to attempt to position the nobles of the highest value at the front. The player with the highest point total at the end of the third day wins the game!

Neuland lies undeveloped with only a few hunters and woodcutters living there. Players place workers to produce raw material that must be used to produce more refined material. These materials help you build different facilities to produce even more materials. The uniqueness of the actions is that you can do as much as you want as long as you don't pass the time marker. The time marker moves to the nextp layer piece: which could be you dpeending on how many actions you take. So one must consider doing a small number of actions in order to go more often or take a long turn to do everything you may want.
