When cameleers meet at the campfire after a long and straining journey, they tell each other stories about cities in the middle of the desert, from hidden oases, and flying carpets. A versed cameleer will of course not whistle-blow the exact location of these precious places, but if you can .read. the desert, you will find them anyway. And with the help of a powerful jinn, you may rearrange the location to your own benefit - or to the disadvantage of someone else.

Players move their caravans through the desert in search of these marvellous locations not telling the others what they discovered. But if you make use of such a location, you automatically reveal some information about it. For instance, if you trade in a desert city the other players will roughly know where the city is. Object of the game is to find three artifacts, or to buy them with the gold you earn.

You will find cities, oases, caravanserais and artifacts. Knowing where they are is very beneficial when you equip a caravan. Do you still remember where they were?

PARKER’S CROSSROADS—The Battle of the Bulge contains a highly-detailed and on-site researched game map depicting the Belgian countryside along the Baraque de Fraiture crossroads. This hotly contested battlefield was the scene of a collision between Americans and German Waffen SS and Volksgrenadier units during the Battle of the Bulge. It was later to be known as “Parker’s Crossroads”, named after Major Arthur C. Parker III, the Commander of the 589th Field Artillery unit assigned to this sector.

Another historical map researched on site by Pedro Ramis and brought to you with the cooperation of hobbyist Nadir El Farra and his FRONT LINE PRODUCTIONS, PCBOB includes 8 new scenarios and a sheet of new counters, all used on the 24" x 26" map.

Ownership of DARKEST DECEMBER or German Personnel, US Personnel, US AFVs, German AFVs, and the LATE WAR GERMAN AND AMERICAN AFVS sheet (DD_1) is needed to use this expansion.

But in order to do so, you have to control the pawn which blows the other pawn's cover, and the amount of influence you can spend during the game is limited.

    This game is a historical simulation, with the ambitious goal of describing, in three eras, the origins of everything human. Players start with a brain map of one of five pre-conscious hominid species, 115 thousand years ago. They also start with a Demography sheet and a single hunter-gatherer unit in the Old World, as it enters the glacial period of the Pleistocene Ice Age.

    The maps of the Old and New Worlds depict various plants and animals, from coconuts and maize to mammoths and sheep, that they must try to domesticate to become herdsmen and agriculturists. They must expand their mind, as they learn the arts of language and imitation of competing cultures. Players who do poorly may become enslaved by other cultures, only to get a new chance as advanced civilizations go through cycles of chaos and renaissances.
